

United Cerebral Palsy of Sarasota-Manatee, Inc. was established in the late 1970's to meet the needs of children at risk of developmental delays and adults with developmental disabilities. We assist people who have developmental disabilities including cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, mental retardation, down syndrome, autism and other disabilities.
We serve as an advocate to do whatever it takes to assist people with disabilities live valued lives in the community while advancing their independence.
United Cerebral Palsy of Sarasota-Manatee, Inc. offers a variety of services to meet these needs. Programs include:
Country Meadows and Forest Lakes Group Homes provide adults with the assistance, training and support necessary to reach their maximum potential of independence and lead full and productive lives.
Adult Day Training Center provides pre-vocational skills training and activities, physical and nutritional programs, computer skills & training, daily living and self help skills, recreation and crafts.
Transportation Services for residential and community clients using modified wheelchair accessible vehicles transporting them to medical and therapeutic appointments, employment, educational and vocational training programs, food and personal shopping, community resources, and social and recreational activities.
Advocacy/referral services are also available.
United Cerebral Palsy of Sarasota-Manatee, Inc. is funded by community donations, grants, the Florida Agency for Persons With Disabilities, The Agency For Healthcares Administration, Sarasota County Government and private fees.
